Luis (Raul) Diaz Garcia

Luis (Raul) Diaz Garcia, age 8, died on February 19, 2004 at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio after an extended illness. He was born June 21, 1995 in Mexico. He attended Jefferson Elementary School where he was a second grader. He will be remembered by his classmates for his cheerfulness, his warm spirit and his love of drawing.

He is survived by his parents, Nicolas Diaz Chavez and Luz Maria Garcia Fuentes; his brother Juan Francisco Diaz; his grandparents, Alejandrina Chavez Ruiz, Juan Diaz Jaquez, Maria de los Angeles Fuentes and Francisco Garcia; aunts and uncles, Lazaro Diaz Chavez, Jose Guadalupe Diaz Chavez, Maria de la luz Diaz Chavez, Elias Garcia Fuentes, and Miguel Garcia Fuentes; and cousins, Guadalupe Arce, Reyna Carrillo Diaz, Juan Antonio Miranda, Diego Armando Miranda, and Celia Miranda.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 7:00 Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at Saint Julie Billiart Church, 224 Dayton St., Hamilton, Ohio 45011, with Celebrant Father Manuel Viera officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon, at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, Ohio 45011 at 5:30 to 7:00 PM. A memorial video tribute of Raul's life will be shown during visitation.
