Lyndia Jean Baker
November 1, 1942 — June 29, 2007
Age 64 of Fairfield passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at her home. She was born November 1942 in Monroe, MI, the daughter of Charles and Katie (Goldsmith) Branham. On December 23, 1960 Lyndia married Robert L. Baker in Monroe, MI. Robert and Lyndia moved to Fairfield in 1970 where Lyndia later worked for the Fairfield YMCA from 1977 until her retirement in 2006. Her most enjoyable times were spent teaching children's swim lessons and senior water aerobics. Her hobbies were traveling with her husband and spending time with her precious grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Baker; children, Garry (Lynn) Baker, Tina (Jack) Baker-McRoberts, and Robert (Carrie) Baker; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike (Sue) Branham, Jack (Carolyn) Branham, and Rob (Carol) Branham; and step-mother, Ruby Branham. Lyndia was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be private at the family's convenience. Memorials may be made to the Fairfield YMCA "Y Care Fund", 785 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 or to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cinti, OH 45206.
