Mabel Rose, age 88, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday morning, April 29th, at The Woodlands of Hamilton. She was born in Buckhorn, KY daughter of Elmer and Ella Johnson on February 5, 1927. She is survived by one of three siblings, three children, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Mabel, a long-time resident of Hamilton, worked in health care for over 30 years being employed by Fort Hamilton Hospital and Westover Retirement Community. Her faith in God helped sustain and inspired her throughout her life. Mabel is survived by one brother, Robert E. Johnson; children, William (Devorah), Richard (Virginia), and James (Christie); grandchildren, Scott, Devon, Kristopher, Benjamin, Betsy, and Daniel; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Lillian, Evelyn, Aiden; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. Mabel is reunited with her husband, Harold L. Keller. She is also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Jay E. Johnson and Hazel Willis. Visitation will be Saturday May 2, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Ric Johnson officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
