GREEN, Margaret Evelyn (nee Slaton)

Margaret Evelyn Green, 89, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025. She was born March 30, 1935, in Wolf Creek, Kentucky. In 1952, Evelyn married her high school sweetheart, and they spent the next 63 years raising 4 wonderful sons and doing all the great things grandparents get to do with their 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Edward Green (Jennifer), Thomas Green (Cathy), Richard Green (Jill), and Robert Green (Mary), her 12 grandchildren, Christopher Green (Rain), Aaron Green, Sarah Groover (Justin), Amanda Laugle (Ben), Matthew Green (Makenzie), Aimee Heck (Taylor), Lindsay Green, Zachary Green (Elane), Michael Green, Rachel Waltman (Aaron), Donna Corbett (David), Julie Green (Benjamin Rahimi), and her 15 great grandchildren.

Evelyn is also survived by her sister Mossie (Toodlie) Bunch and Clyde Slaton (Ruth).

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Richard Green; siblings Clifford Slaton, Cornelius (Dud) Slaton, Enoch Slaton, Maude Randall (Bob), Ruth Basie (Richard), and Pauline Kennedy (Kenny).

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service (12 Noon), Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH   45014 with Pastor Roger Emerson of Park Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Fairfield Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Cincinnati or Park Avenue United Methodist Church, Hamilton, Ohio.
