Marilyn Joan, age 81, of Hamilton, joined our heavenly father August 31, 2016 at Hospice of Hamilton, surrounded by her family.
She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1953; went on to St. Mary's College where she was a novice with the Little Sisters of the Poor but, was unable to take her final vows because of declining health. Marilyn received her Masters Degree and started a teaching career at St. Veronica and Fillmore elementary schools. She devoted her life to the service of others.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Eleanor (Verdin) Huddleson; older brother, Vernon Huddleson II; and her niece, Debbie Brinker. Marilyn is survived by her loving brother, David (Judy) Huddleson; nephews, John (Lynn) Huddelson, Dave Huddleson, Michael (Elaina) Huddleson; niece, Kathy (Bob) Meyer; 4 great nieces and nephew; and 10 great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday September 6, 2016 from 10-12 at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., 45014. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home with Fr. Larry Tharp officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. 4199 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45015
