Marilyn Jorene (nee Nelson) – age 86 of Hamilton passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Garden Manor Nursing home in Middletown. She was born October 14, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Albert and Neva Nelson (nee Dark). Marilyn was a long time volunteer at Ft. Hamilton Hospital and Hamilton’s annual Dam Fest. In 1997, Marilyn was honored to receive the Hamilton Community Service Award for her dedication and service to the city of Hamilton. She is survived by her children John (Erna) Reeves, Carol Gilmore and Cheryl (Scot) Marchal; also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Edwin Reeves and her son Mark Reeves. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5-7PM at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, 45014.
