Marjorie A. "Marty"; age 79 went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 23, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie is survived by beloved husband Billy E. Charles; her children Gwendolyn (Robert) Butsch, Bruce (Patricia) Charles, and Scott Charles. Also survived by her grandson Nicholas Charles; brother James Coy; sisters Alice Hiner, Louise Griffin, and Irma Wade. Preceded in death by her parents and her brother Edwin Coy.

Marjorie was a Registered Nurse for many years at Fort Hamilton Hospital before her retirement. On May 13,1994 Judge David Neihaus, honored Marjorie with a plaque as a volunteer special advocate for children of Butler County, under the guidance of PARACHUTE. She spent countless hours of work over 4 years with children and their families. She also volunteered for Planned Parenthood, the Mental Health Clinic, and Catholic Social Services. At Lindenwald United Methodist Church, Marjorie belonged to the Altar Guild, was a Stephen's Minister, and had leadership roles in other church organizations. She was also a member of the Four Seasons Garden Club.

A celebration of Marjorie's life will be held on Saturday August 27, 2011 at Lindenwald United Methodist Church, 3501 Pleasant Ave., Hamilton Ohio 45015. Pastor Valerie Waibel will officiate the service beginning at 11 am. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 pm at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, OH

45014. Another visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10-11 am before the service.

Memorial contributions in Marjorie's name may be made to Lindenwald United Methodist Church. Condolences may be given at www.avancefuneralhome.com
