Marsha Ann Sibble age 72 of Monroe, Ohio peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at UC Medical Center on 10/31/2025. Marsha, a graduate of Mentor High School class of 1971, would go on to graduate from Lakeland Community College in 1973 with an associate in arts degree then graduating from Bowling Green State University in 1975 with a degree in Education. Marsha would go on to obtain her teaching certification for History and Political Science before selflessly setting aside her teaching career to support her husband's career endeavors. Marsha met her loving husband of over 49years Gerald Sibble while at Bowling Green State University and they married 8/2/1975. Eventually they would go on to settle down in Fairfield, Ohio where they would raise their three children Katie, Daniel, and Adam. Family was always most important to Marsha, and her unwavering support of her children and husband never went unnoticed. Marsha was a woman of immense fortitude, intelligence, and strength of spirit never facing a situation she could not overcome. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Marsha took on what some would consider an impossible ask and that was to become a full-time caregiver for her husband. Marsha did so with zero hesitation on her part and was his primary caregiver for the last eleven years of his life all the while dealing with her own health challenges. Marsha never complained or felt sorry for herself she instead provided the highest level of care for her husband, remaining steadfast in her commitment to him. Through Marsha's dedication to her husband, she afforded Gerald and their entire family the opportunity to create everlasting memories. This selfless act and sacrifice on Marsha's part truly embodied who Marsha was. When not caring for her family, you never found Marsha without a book in hand, a word search nearby, or researching a topic of interest at that time. Marsha was a lifelong learner, always remaining up-to date with current world events, sharing in phone calls with her mother as they would have lively conversations surrounding current events. Marsha was always one to debate current world events while always being respectful of differing viewpoints regardless of whom she was speaking with.
While the last few weeks of Marsha's life were anything but easy, she never quit fighting. Instead, Marsha remained strong in her convictions that like so many times before she would overcome this new issue she faced. With a touch of sarcasm/humor, a few side eyes look if you know you know and tons of laughter as she continued to defy the odds. To have such a strength of belief and heart while enduring the pain life threw at her always demonstrated one idea, that she never gave up. Marsha was not only an amazing daughter, sister, wife, and mother (best friend) but the title she held in highest regard was Grandma. Her grandchildren adored her and were without a doubt her greatest source of pride. They were her reason for pushing through the toughest of days and nights. Simply put family was Marsha's why, and she was the glue that held her family together. Losing someone so incredibly loved as Marsha has been absolutely devastating for her family and friends but knowing she reunited with her husband and son Adam brings peace to those who are left to mourn her loss.
Marsha is survived by her children Katie (Dennis) Jones and Daniel Sibble. Grandchildren; Dennis Jones III, Mila Sibble, Monica Engel, Eyla Engel, and Gwendolynne Sibble. Mother Thelma McMinn, sister Beth McMinn-Sullivan, and brother John (Roberta) McMinn. Niece Keara (Karl) McMinn-Topf, nephews; Ian McMinn, Shea McMinn-Sullivan, and John Robert McMinn. Along with other extended family and friends. Including the "ladies" from her time working at Kohl's who always remained in close contact with Marsha through the years. Marsha was predeceased by her husband Gerald Sibble, son Adam Joseph Sibble, Father Richard McMinn, brother-in-law Patrick Sullivan, father-in-law Paul Sibble, and mother-in-law Theresia Sibble.
