Age 75 of Fairfield passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 29, 1939 in Chattooga Co., GA, the daughter of Levi and Julia Mae (Scoggins) Byess. On April 2, 1955 Martha married William A. Pace in Newport, KY. She was employed at Cincinnati Financial until her retirement in 2002.
Martha leaves behind her loving children, Robert (Anne) Pace and Angela (Bill) Murphy; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Willard (Clara) Byess and Howard (Lucille) Byess; and sisters, Faye (Frank) Merrico and Lella Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Garret and Brian; brothers, Arthur and Gus Byess.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. – until time of funeral service (1 p.m.), Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 with Rev. Ernie Murray officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Corpus Christi Food Pantry.
