Martha Jane (Duvall) Perry

Age 74 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2010 at Hospice of Hamilton in Hamilton, OH. She was born in Carroll County, KY, on November 7, 1935 to Hubert T. and Nannie Ellen (Gardner) Duvall. Martha was reared in the community of Wheatly in Owen County, KY. She became a faithful and active member of Dallasburg Baptist Church. Martha was a graduate of Owen County High School, Owenton, KY and Littleford-Nelson Business College, Cincinnati, OH. She married Donald G. Perry on December 23, 1955 at Dallasburg Baptist Church and left the community moving to Hamilton, OH in 1958. Martha worked as a secretary for the Hamilton City School District and retired after 30 years. She later worked part-time for Measureall, Inc. She lived a simple, but busy life until Pulonary Fibrosis became a very limiting health issue. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, OH, serving on several boards and volunteering when needed. She enjoyed family, traveling, shopping and reading until health issues limited these activities.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William Richard Duvall. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Donald G. Perry; sister, Vivian C. (Harold) Malcomb; sister-in-law, Marjorie Duvall; nieces and nephews, Regina (Jerry) Cook, Crystal (Steve) Raisor, Richard (Marla) Duvall, Steven (Carrie Jo) Malcomb; three great-nephews; and two great nieces; aunt, Margaret McCowen; uncle, Harold Gardner; many relatives, friends and special friends, Jack and Evelyn Maddox, and special friends and traveling buddies, Bobby and Shirley Traylor.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. - until time of service (7 p.m.), Monday, April 26, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Hamilton 1501 Pyramid Hill, Hamilton, OH 45013 with Rev. William C. Brantingham and Dr. Dennis Metzger officiating. Another visitation will be 11 a.m. - until time of service (1 p.m.), Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Dallasburg Baptist Church, Wheatley, KY with Pastor Matt Dye, Rev. William C. Brantingham, and Dr. Dennis Metzger officiating. Burial will follow at Wheatley Masonic Cemetery.
