Martin (Marty) New, 77, of Hamilton OH, passed away peacefully at home on Monday February 23, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Hamilton, OH. Marty was the oldest of eight boys to Cecil and Kay New. He graduated from Taft High School in 1966 and went on to become Taft’s First All American football player. Marty played football for the University of Kentucky. Marty retired after many years of service with General Electric. Beyond his career, Marty was very involved in church, enjoyed hunting and Lake Cumberland where he met many friends that became family. He was faithful, devoted, strong, humble, patient, kind, caring, forgiving, loving and compassionate.

Marty was proceeded in death by his late wife, Sandra Yeakle New, parents, Cecil and Kay New, and brothers Cecil, Chris, Ralph, Vernon and Randy. Marty is survived by his wife Donna New, brothers Curt (Kathy) New and Jim (Vicki) New, daughters Jill (Doug) Murphy, Angie New, Andrea (Rob) House, grandchildren Emily, Lillian, Shay, Colt, Blake, Shelby and several great grandchildren. Beloved sisters-in-law Barb New, Debbie New Mastandrea, and Marcia Waddle. Many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 10:00am until the time of service (12:00pm) at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014. Burial immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, OH. Online condolences may be left of the family at www.avancefuneralhome.com
