Mary Ann Johnson

Age 82 of Fairfield went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born July 18, 1928 in Ross, OH, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Popp) Meyers. On July 22, 1950 Mary Ann married Chris Johnson in Millville, OH. She graduated from Camden High School in 1946. She worked at Shuler and Benninghoffen Woolen Mill and later as a cafeteria manager for Hamilton City Schools until her retirement in 1989. Mary Ann was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and the First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Chris Johnson; daughter, Barbara (Michael) Bell; grandchildren, Aaron Bell and Jeremy Bell; and sister, Christine Lehman. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Ray Johnson and siblings, Albertha McMillian, Dale Meyers, Helen Ertel, George Meyers, Harry Meyers, Jr., Floyd Meyers, Wilma Meyers and Calvin Meyers.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of service (11:30 a.m.), Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Dr. Dennis Metzger and Rev. William C. Brantingham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, 1501 Pyramid Hill, Hamilton, OH 45013.
