Mary Kelly West

Mary Kelly West Kelly West of Fairfield, OH passed away unexpectedly of a brief illness on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the age of 59.  She was the daughter of Donna Fay Ertel, and the late Sherman West.  Kelly was born in Buffalo, NY and grew up on a farm near Morrow, OH.  As a young girl, she worked in her stepfather’s machine shop.  After high school, she entered and graduated from cosmetology school.  After graduation, she moved to the West Chester area to pursue her career.  In addition, she continued her love for animals and to fulfill her bucket list wish to meet Dr. Pol from the National Geographic wild show.  Unfortunately, her declining health did not allow her travels to Michigan this spring.  Kelly pursued a hobby/second career of making custom scented candles which became quite a large volume effort.  She was a baptized member of the Hamilton Dream Center of Hamilton, OH.  Kelly is survived by her daughter, Meghan, as well as her mother, Donna of Lebanon, OH.  In addition, she has a brother, Scott, of Mason, OH.  Kelly is also survived by her companion, John A. Harper of Fairfield.  A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
