WHALEN, Mary L. (nee Sampson) age 80 of Fairfield passed away on June 11, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Whalen; devoted mother of Bradley T. (Linda) Whalen, Jeffrey S. Whalen, Lisa G. (Robert) Gear, Holly (Robert) Miller, and Laura (Terry) Elmlinger; loving grandmother of 9; great grandmother of 10. She is also survived by her brothers Stanley, Wilbert, Charles, and James Sampson. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Maude Sampson; sister, Elizabeth Jones and her great grandson Sullivan Whalen. Visitation will be Sunday June 17, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
