Melissa (Meeks) Compston

Melissa Alice Compston (née Meeks), born on August 25, 1963, in Cincinnati, OH, passed away at her home on September 16, 2024 at 61 years old. A kind soul with a heart of gold, Melissa was deeply loved by all who knew her. She never knew a stranger. Her radiant smile set her apart, lighting up any room she entered. It was a hallmark of her presence, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.  Melissa was the beloved daughter of the late Orville and Ruby Meeks. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Steven Meeks and Brian Meeks. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Marion Compston, her daughter Amanda Bourne, stepson Jay Compston, and stepdaughter Krystal Compston. Melissa was a loving grandmother to Desmond Compston and Brooklyn Lamb. She is also survived by her siblings, Lynda (Phil) Cook, Mary Anne (Duell) Niebel, David Meeks,  Patricia (Michael, deceased) Butsch, and Teresa (Richard, deceased) Trotter.  Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH 45014. A funeral service to honor her memory will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the same location. Melissa will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, kindness, and enduring love will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
