Melvin Louis Rutherford Jr.

RUTHERFORD Melvin L. Jr. J.D., age 64, of West Chester passed away on April 4, 2014. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on September 9, 1949 to Melvin and Marcella (nee Henn) Rutherford. Melvin is the beloved husband for 43 years to Susan (nee Appel); devoted father of Lori Beth Rutherford and Michael Louis (Jodie) Rutherford; loving grandfather of Abigail Lynn Rutherford, and Evan Louis Rutherford. He is also survived by his sisters, Melvilyn (Gerry) Kaufhold, Marilyn Grote; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marlene Dillard. He is a graduate of Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University. Melvin was the Senior Vice President of Risk Management, Legal Services for Childrens Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH until his retirement; he then continued his career as a Senior Risk Management Consultant for Proassurance of Birmingham, AL. Visitation will be Saturday April 12, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. at Hope Evangelical Free Church Fellowship Hall, 4934 Western Row Rd., Mason, OH 45040.
