Michael E. Aker, age 63 of Fairfield, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013. Michael was born April 2, 1950 in Corbin, KY to the late Richard and Beryl Aker. In 1977 in Newport, KY he married his wife Karen L. Aker (nee Grimes). Michael was a truck driver, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and enjoyed boating on the lake and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Karen Aker; his son Michael R. Aker; his daughter Irene McDonald; his brother Joseph (Kathy) Aker and sisters Ellen (Nick) Sicker and Patricia Chisenhall; His grandchildren Reagan McDonald, Michael D. Aker, Alexis McDonald and Piper McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held Monday. November 25, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, 45014 with a brief service beginning at 7:45PM. Inurnment to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations in Michael's name to the American Cancer Society.
