Michael L. Stewart

On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Michael L. Stewart, greatly loved by friends and family members, passed away at the age of 59. Mike was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Jarmon and Myrtle Stewart on February 5, 1963. Mike graduated from D. Russell Lee Vocational School in 1980 with a degree in small engines. Many years of his career were spent as a machine operator specialist as well as a salesman for Dick's Sporting Goods and Cingular Wireless.

Mike's greatest passion was outdoor activities such as deer hunting and fishing. He also had a talent for cooking down-home meals and award-winning cheesecake, which he gladly shared with friends and family. Mike was also known to enjoy a good southern rock concert or share a humorous tale with those he loved. He was affectionately called Uncle Mike by many who knew him, and everyone enjoyed being a part of Mike's family.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Jarmon, and his mother Myrtle. He is survived by his sister, Sandy Stewart, aunt and uncle, Stella and Hunter Hyde, a host of cousins and special friends, such as Joey and Buffy Turner. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014.
