Mildred Rose Hangbers

HANGBERS, Mildred Rose (nee Haines), 91 of Seminole, FL and Hamilton, OH passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Seminole Nursing Pavilion. She was born July 31, 1917 in Highland County, OH, the daughter of Rev. Homer Clinton Haines and Mary Ann Penning Wright Haines. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton, OH. She is survived by her daughters, Rose Mary (Charles "Tommy") Thompson and Elizabeth Ann (Donald) Goble and a son, Robert David (Shirley) Gambrell, two half brothers, Homer C. (Wanda). Haines and Wilbur A. (Sonja) Haines, a step-daughter, Mary (Richard) Smethurst; Grandchildren: Karen (Mike) Carpenter, William (LeaAnne) Goble, David (Graciela) Goble; Chris (Chuck) Zaeh, Clifford (Karen) Thompson; Amanda Gambrell and Molly Gambrell, Brian (Stephanie) Gambrell; Robbie, Amy & Ryan Smethurst; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her three husbands, Francis Ford Gambrell (1976), James Oscar Byble (1981) and John Joseph Hangbers (2004); son James Allen Gambrell, granddaughter Lori Sue Gambrell, grandson Daniel Patrick Gambrell, sisters Murelle Boomershine and Julia Belle Haines in infancy. During her lifetime, Mildred worked at the First National Bank of Hamilton; Ohio Casualty Insurance Co., and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (now CSX). Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014 at 12pm with Dr. Dennis Metzger officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10 am till 12 noon. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 150l Pyramid Hill Blvd, Hamilton, OH 45013.
