Minnie Horn

Minnie Horn, age 80, of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born in Beattyville, KY on August 28, 1923, the daughter of John and Betty (Sloan) Lyons.

Minnie was a good hearted lady with a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed being a homemaker and at one time was a Cub Scout Leader and Den Mother. She served her country from March, 1944 to August, 1945 in the U.S. Navy. Minnie was a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ. She was united in marriage to J.B. Horn on July 10, 1948 in Fayette Co., KY.

She is survived by her husband, J.B. Horn, her children, Michael Horn of Fairfield, Gary Horn of Hamilton, Carol Horn and Jean Keller of Fairfield, a brother, Thomas Lyons of Beattyville, KY and her grand-children, Christopher Horn, Michelle Keller, Brittany Horn, Katelynne Horn and April Keller. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Dave Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.avancefuneralhome.com
