ROWLAND, Naomi Leclair (nee Pierson)

Age 95 died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Doverwood Nursing Care Village.  She was wife of the late Dr. Robert R. Rowland, mother of daughters Suzan J.(Richard) Stracke of Fairfield and Lynn R. (Tim) White of Rockville, MD; grandfather of Richard G. Stracke, II of Chicago, IL and Robert C. Stracke of Fairfield, OH Megan A. White of Woodbridge, VA  and Kendra L. (P.J.) Hyett of San Fransisco, CA; and aunt to Ray Falkenberg of Fresno, CA.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN to parents H.R. and Letha (McAninch) Pierson (both deceased).  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Anne Falkenberg of Pasadena, CA.  She was a Music major at Asbury College in KY and a long-time member of the United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon – until time of funeral services (1 p.m.), Friday June 13, 2014 at  St.Mark’s United Methodist Church, 4601 Fairfield Ave., Fairfield, OH   45014 with Pastor Tammy Jo Reiser officiating.  Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.  The Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield is serving the family.  Memorial gifts may be made to St. Mark’s Church Music Fund.  Condolences may be sent at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
