Nora Jean (Platts) Gore

  Nora Jean Gore, age 51 of Fairfield, passed away on     Tuesday, March 11, 2014     after a prolonged battle with Lung Cancer.  She was born     November 16, 1962     in     Summerville     ,     South Carolina     to the late Frances and Mary Platts; Nora’s passion was her love for her grandkids.  She loved the outdoors, enjoyed hiking, and was an avid photographer.  Nora worked as a Medical Assistant for 6 years at     Miami     Orthopedic and Sports Medicine and was also a Department Manager at Kroger for 12 years.  She loved animals having 4 dogs, a cat, a ball python, a tarantula, fish tanks, hermit crabs and multiple lizards.  

  Nora is survived by her husband of 12 years, James Gore; her children Sara (Chris) Myers, Victoria Gore, Samantha Hyde and Toni Hyde; grandchildren Morgan and Mackenzie Buddo, Dillon Myers and Cassidy Bourne; sisters Sarah (Malcolm) Drennon of Summerville, SC, Laurann (“Bubba”) Wilson of St. Stephen, SC; brothers Gary Platts of Summerville, SC and Leo Platts of Barnwell, SC; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Lamar and Homer Platts.  

  A funeral will be held on     Monday, March 17, 2014     at     10AM     at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory,     4976 Winton Rd.     , 45014.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday evening,     March 16, 2014     from     6-8PM     .  Memorial contributions may be sent to the One Way Farm Childrens Home,     6131 E. River Rd.     ,     Fairfield     45014     .
