O. W Capshaw
August 29, 1924 — September 27, 2008
Age 84, of Fairfield, OH, was called home Saturday, September 27, 2008. He was born August 29, 1924, in Manchester, TN, the son of Benjamin and Lular Capshaw. "Cap" was married to Margaret Zeitz August 24, 1948, who preceded him in death July, 2006. He was a member of the U.S. Navy during WWII and participated in the "D-Day" invasion June 6, l944. He retired from Bendix Aviation in 1980 and enjoyed retirement living in Florida, Tennessee and Indiana. He is rejoicing in Heaven with his parents, two brothers, two sisters, wife, Margaret, son, Bill and son-in-law Harold.
He leaves his daughter, Sandy, Fairfield, OH; son, David, Denver, CO; grandchildren Brian, Fairfield, OH, Jay, Cincinnati, OH, Kerri, Trenton, OH; and dear friends from Millville Avenue Church of God. The family would like to express their appreciation to Drs. Colangelo, Desai, and Pastor and all the nurses who cared for "Cap" at Mercy South Hospital.
Visitation will be 1pm until time of service (2pm) Wednesday, October 1, at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Winton Road, Fairfield, OH, with Pastor Stephen Collins conducting the service.
