Pamela Ewing, age 46 of Fairfield formerly of Alexandria, IN, passed away Wednesday September 21, 2005 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born January 30, 1959 in Anderson, IN, the daughter of Elmer and Helen (Knotts) Ewing, Jr. Pamela graduated from Alexandria-Monroe High School in 1977 and then obtained her degree in Computer Science from Olivet Nazarene University in 1981. Upon her graduation she worked at the University in the Computer Department, and in 1984 she moved to Fairfield. Pamela was most recently a Senior Systems Analyst for Honeywell. She was actively involved and passionate with the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene, where she served others in many capacities, especially the "The Bethlehem Living Nativity". Pamela's thoughtfulness and encouragement for others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents, Elmer and Helen Ewing of Alexandria, IN; brother, Rex (Becki) Douglas of Anderson, IN; sisters, Rita (Larry) Maple of Alexandria, IN, Denise (Rick) Provence of Cicero, IN and Sherri (Jeff) Street of Lapel, IN; nieces and nephews, Cassie Kirkpatrick, Kyle Douglas, Andrea McClead, Lori Collis, Heather Smith, Kim Bryant, Kent Provence, Mitch Street and Ellen Street; 7 great nieces and nephews; and special friends, David and Vicki Scott of Alexandria, IN; and also numerous special friends in Ohio.
Funeral services in Ohio will be 11 a.m., Saturday September 24 with a visitation prior beginning at 10 a.m., at the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene, 1425 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Visitation will also be held 5-8 p.m., Friday September 23 at the Church. Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services in Indiana will be 4 p.m., Sunday September 25 at the Alexandria First Church of the Nazarene, 1400 S. Harrison St., Alexandria, IN 46001. Visitation will be also on Sunday from 2 p.m.-until time of service at the Church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Owens Funeral Home of Alexandria, IN is in charge of arrangements.
