Patricia Griesinger

76 years old, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 8:40 a.m. She was born on January 15, 1931, the daughter of Clarence "Skip" Gift and Goldie Mae (Clairborne) Gift, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 27, 1953, she married Bernie Griesinger at the First Baptist Church, Hamilton, Ohio. To this union were born a son, Dan (Cheryl) Griesinger and a daughter, Karen (Joe) Mosketti.

Pat had five granddaughters whom she loved dearly - Kelly (Sam) Platt and Ashley Griesinger of Hamilton; Amanda, Samantha and Jenna Mosketti of Fallston, Maryland; and one great-granddaughter, Makayla Platt of Hamilton.

Pat graduated from Hamilton High School in 1949, Miami Univ. in 1953, and received her Master's Degree in Education from Miami Univ. in 1970.

Pat taught several years in the Fairfield and Hamilton school system before moving to Rome, NY, where she also taught. After returning to Hamilton, she became a health instructor at Miami Univ. for 12 years. From there, she assumed the duties as Director of the Wellness Program at Hamilton's Mercy Hospital. While at Mercy, she received the coveted Mercy Rose Award for outstanding service.

She was a life-long member of Hamilton's First Baptist Church serving as a Departmental Sunday School Superintendent in addition to teaching Sunday school for many years. She also was a member of PEO, CY Chapter in Hamilton, and volunteered at Ft. Hamilton Hospital.

Pat leaves her husband, Bernie Griesinger, of 54 years; her son, daughter, granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1501 Pyramid Hill Blvd. at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, December 18. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., prior to the service. Dr. Dennis Metzger and Rev. William C. Brantingham will be officiating with Pat's dear friend, Jack Young, assisting. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park with Avance Funeral Home & Crematory of Fairfield handling the arrangements.
