Patrick S. Thayer

Patrick S. Thayer, 70, went home to be with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, on March 7, 2026, in Liberty Township, Ohio.

Patrick, devoted husband and father, is survived by his wife Melanie Faye (Griffith) Thayer, who he spent 48 loving years with, their four children, Shane Thayer (Caitlin), Holly Latzy (Michael), Philip Thayer (Ashley), and Joshua Thayer (Chelsea Lee), their six grandchildren, Arlo, Emily, Mia, Jeremiah, Christian, and Lukis, and his sister Debbie Thayer. He was blessed with many beloved nieces and nephews. Patrick showed his love for his family in the way he lived his life.

He was born on November 2, 1955, in Cambridge, England to Eugene Raymond Thayer and Gisele Lucie (Champion) Thayer. He faithfully served the Lord at Columbia Road Baptist Church, North Fairfield Baptist Church, and as a longtime member of the Gideons. He was an avid marathoner.

Visitation will be Friday, March 13th at 5pm with a memorial service following at 6pm held at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014 with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating.
