Paul S. Steele

Paul S. Steele, age 82, of Fairfield passed away Tuesday August 2, 2016 at Mercy Fairfield Hospital.

He was born May 7, 1934 in Connersville, Indiana, the son of Andrew and V. Ruth (Ramsey) Steele; both preceded him in death.

On March 21, 1959 he married Judith (Judy) Taylor in Connersville, IN.  They were married 46 years before she preceded him in death in July 2005.

He earned a Bachelor Degree from Indiana University in 1956 and then proudly served in the United States Army for two years.  In 1964 he began a 30-year career with the Proctor and Gamble Company in Cincinnati, OH, working as a Technician in the Food Analytical Building.  His last years with P&G were spent traveling the country working on packaging development.

After retirement, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, watching grandchildren’s activities and Red’s baseball games.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brother Don Steele and sister Esther Wissel. He is survived by sons, David (Brenda) Steele, Daniel Steele, and Dale (Susan) Steele; daughter Rebecca Steele; brother-in-law Arnold Wissel; six grandchildren, Ryan (Laura), Matthew, Kyle (Justine), and Michelle Steele, Kathryn (Michael) Hadel and Bruce Forrester; three great grandchildren, Robert, Sophia and Harper Steele.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday August 8, 2016 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH with Rev. Kenwood Ramsey Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Venice Cemetery in Ross, OH.  Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 p.m. preceding the service.
