Pearl (nee Wilson) Bowling, age 97, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, July 25, 2025. Pearl was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on January 13, 1928, to McClellan and Fannie (Pierson) Wilson and the family moved to Hamilton in 1942. She had four siblings - Myrtle, Virgie, Virginia and Donald. Pearl met her husband, Charlie Bowling, at a roller rink when she was 14 and married him when she was 18. They had three children - Wayne (Diann), Darrell and Charlotte, and had been married for 57 years upon Charlie's death in 2003. Pearl worked at Wilmur's Department Store in downtown Hamilton until Charlie's job as a union representative for the UAW took them away to Detroit, Monroe, Columbus, and finally, to Fairfield where they enjoyed retirement near family. Along the way, Pearl and Charlie met union leaders and foreign dignitaries and even found themselves shaking hands with President Lech Walesa of Poland and President Bill Clinton at the White House. Pearl was an avid sports fan and a diehard Reds and Bengals fan who could hold her own in any conversation about sports. She never missed a Reds game; if it wasn't on TV she would listen to it on the radio. She also loved bowling and watching and playing golf. Pearl loved her family dearly and always lent a helping hand if needed. In addition to Pearl's parents, children and siblings, her beloved family included nine grandchildren - Scott Bowling, Jeff (Beth) Bowling, Tami Rose, Shelley Stewart, Ashlee (Josh) Turner, Chantz Bowling, Marisa Powers, Darrin (Lourdes) Gipson and Chinita Gipson, 20 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. Pearl was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband Charlie, son Darrell Bowling, grandson Jeff Bowling, daughter-in-law Cindy Bowling, son-in-law Delbert Gipson, and two sisters, Myrtle Woods and Virginia Stewart. We would like to thank Dr. Winters and Hospice of Hamilton for their compassionate and loving care. In honor of Pearl's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.avancefuneralhome.com
