Philip Earl Kegley, Sr.

Philip Earl Kegley, Sr age 69 of Miamisburg Ohio left us unexpectedly on Tuesday May 28, 2024. He was born in Portsmouth Ohio to the late Forest Earl Kegley Jr. and Norma Jean (Kegley) Spurlock. Phil graduated from Princeton High School in 1973 and Miami University in 1980. Philip was the director of HKR Ventures LLC since 2010. He was member of the Hughes Bates Lodge since 1976 where he served as WM three times. Phil enjoyed traveling to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his loving wife, Sheryl Lynn (Sims) Kegley of 47 years and stepfather, Karl Spurlock. He is survived by his mother, Norma Spurlock; children Amy (Matthew) Huddy, Tracy (Matt) Bees and Bud (Megan) Kegley; grandchildren, Nathan Huddy, Jonathon Bees, Katelynn Huddy, and Benjamin Bees; sister Cheri (Jack) Hunkemoeller, niece Erin Hunkemoeller and nephew Erik Hunkemoeller, stepbrother Terry Spurlock along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Phil leaves behind so many wonderful friends that became part of his extended family. Phil was a man of integrity, respect, kindness, and love. He will be dearly missed. Services: Thursday, June 6 at Avance Funeral Home, Fairfield, OH. Visitation from 5-7 with funeral service starting at 7 pm.
