Polly Huff

Polly (Skaggs) Huff, age 88, of Mt. Healthy, formerly of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, January 01, 2004 at the Mt. Healthy Christian Home. She was born May 24, 1915 in Lawrence County, KY the daughter of Noah and Louzetti (Rose) Skaggs.
On January 3, 1942 Polly was married to Ray Huff in Cincinnati, OH. Polly was a school teacher in Kentucky, a Daycare Teacher at the First Baptist Church of Fairfield for many years and enjoyed being a homemaker to her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Wightman of Hamilton, her son, James Huff of Newark, Delaware, and brother, Leo Skaggs of Oil Springs, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Huff on January 10, 1974, 3 brothers: Ivan, Herschel and Hurston Skaggs, and 1 sister, Gladys Raeburn.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Tim White officiating. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2004 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association, 644 Linn St., Cincinnati, OH 45203.
