Preston Johnson
February 19, 1940 — January 11, 2009
Age 68 of Hamilton passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born February 19, 1940 in Menifee Co., KY, the son of Raney and Virginia (Ringo) Johnson. Mr. Johnson worked for over 53 years at the Coleman / Gilmore Bowling Lanes where he developed many long term and lasting relationships. Preston was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda Faye (Heitfield) Johnson; children, Preston (Julie) Johnson, David (Marti) Johnson, Janette (Joe) Begley, Scott Patrick and Sherry (Jeff) Bedford; brother, Ronald Johnson; sister, Devora "Ann" Watts; grandchildren, Cassandra, Christina, Ashley, David, Jeffrey, Madison, Michael, McKenna, Ainsley, Joshua and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Christian, Cadance and Aubrianna. Preston was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Johnson; granddaughter, Sarah Johnson; and 2 siblings.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Howard Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
