R. Loren Mcguire

MCGUIRE

R. Loren, beloved husband for 58 years of Beverly (nee Crosby); dear father of Ellen (Dean) Woodroof and Brian (Cindy) McGuire; loving grandfather of David Woodroof and Erin McGuire; brother of Margie (Charles) Marino and the late Irene (Richard) Watkins. Loren Passed away peacefully Monday, August 26, 2013. He was a proud Navy veteran of WWII; originally from Toledo, Ohio, and a graduate of the University of Toledo. Loren had a long career with GE Aircraft Engines as a mechanical engineer. After retirement, he served many organizations as a volunteer including the Great Parks of Hamilton County (20 years), Oxbow Inc., Cincinnati Wildflower Preservation Society, Greater Cincinnati Garden Railroad Society, and more. He loved scouting, was an Eagle Scout, railroad history, aviation, and outdoor nature events. Loren was a member of Monfort Height United Methodist Church for 58 years and served the Lord in many roles in volunteering and charities.
