CHAMBERS, Raymond M., age 96, of Hamilton passed away Friday September 18, 2015 at Mercy Fairfield surrounded by his family. He was born on July 29, 1919 in Hamilton to Raymond and Dorothea Chambers. On February 10, 1949 he married Kathryn Eckhardt. Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; devoted children, Dale (Patty) Chambers and Cheryl (John) Motzer; loving grandchildren, Mandy (Troy) Chaney, Sara (Chris) Owens, Christie Driscoll, Rhonda (Dan) Combs, and Jill Fowler; dear great grandchildren, Noelle Wilson, Sydney Wilson, Cooper Chaney, Cameron Chaney, Alexxys Adkison, Mychaela Adkison, Chad (Nicole) Andrews, and Chelsea Andrews; nieces, nephews, and friends. He served in the Army for 5 years in England during WWII. Ray retired from Mosler Safe in 1985 where he was employed as a tool engineer. He is a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton from the age of 12 where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, and Deacon. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and his special Aunt Ruth Gerdis. Visitation will be Monday September 21, 2015 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Dr. Dan Clemens and Rev. Bill Brantingham officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
