SCHUCKMANN, Raymond Edward
Age 80 of Fairfield, OH passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Hospice of Hamilton with his family by his side. He was born June 15, 1931 in his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of John Henry and Hildegard (Laws) Schuckmann. On September 15, 1956 he married his sweetheart in Norwood, OH. Raymond was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He worked at GE for 42 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Schuckmann will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
Raymond leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Catherine (nee Burkhart) Schuckmann; children, Joan M. Schuckmann, Lois A. Schuckmann and Steven (Deborah) Schuckmann; grandchildren, Kyle Nicholas and Stacy Leigh; and siblings, Robert Schuckmann and Charles (Mary) Schuckmann; sister-in-law Teri Burkhart and brother-in-law Robert Sauer; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Marion Black, Arlene Sauer; and sister-in-law, Lillian Schuckmann. Special thanks to Care Connections of Cincinnati.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 with Father Larry Tharp, Celebrant. Entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 22 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014.
