Rhada L. Ellis
June 15, 1920 — December 23, 2009
Age 89 of Fairfield passed away December 23, 2009. Rhada was born June 15, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Ray and Valora (Ennes) Bennett. On April 13, 1940 married Roy K. Ellis, Sr. in Dayton, Ohio, of which had a wonderful marriage of 65 years together until Roy's death in 2005. Rhada believed in God, always had a kind word, would lend a helping hand, and had love in her heart. She believed in the family and Christian values. Rhada was an active member of the Eaton Road Church of God for 45 years giving her time as a member of W.C.G., Chairman of the Benevolence Committee for several years, and donated many hours toward those in need. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, two sisters, and her beloved daughter "Snookie". Survivors include: Three sons Roy (Nancy) Ellis Jr., Gary (Becky) Ellis, Kenny (Jodi) Ellis. Fourteen grandchildren: Ann Baldwin, Ben Ellis, Sarah Hilgeman; Austin, Mallorie, Seth and Lacee Ellis; Tami Dugas, Scot, Kenny Jr., Tiffany, and Tyler Ellis; Mike and Sarah Hodges. Twelve Great grandchildren: Hannah Campbell, Melanie Ellis, Caleb Baldwin; Brady, Tyler and Cooper Hilgeman; Courtney, Brendan, and Karley Dugas; Aleah Ellis; Chase and Haley Ellis. Also, Rhada's trusted and loyal friend Eva Williams. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the excellent staff and care she received at the Tri-County Extended Care Facility in Fairfield and a special thank you to: Dr. Paula Weisenberger and Dr. H. Davin.
Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday December 30, 2009 at the Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, Ohio. Services will begin immediately following visitation at 11:00 am with Dr. Dale French officiating. Burial will take place at Willowview Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio following the service.
