AVEY, G. Richard "Dick"

Age 64, departed this life on January 6, 2011. He was born July 4, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio to George and Velma (Briggs) Avey. He served in the Air Force for two years. He owned and operated his own siding business since 1978. Dick married Margaret "Peggy" Vessely on April 24, 1982. He was a life long member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton and served on the Board of Trustees. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Peggy, who passed away on December 17, 2010. Dick is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Gary) Miller of Trenton and his son, Doug (Jill) Pyle of Jacksonburg and his grandchildren, Erica Pyle, Ryan Pyle and Jake Miller. Dick is also survived by his sister Ruth Ann (Phil) Jewett of San Antonio, Texas and three nephews. He also leaves daughters Gini Reinhard and family and Amy Avey. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 11;30 a.m. at Avance Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Arthur Richards and his staff for the care they gave Dick and Peggy over the past eight months.
