Richard T Brown

BROWN Richard T., age 82, of Fairfield passed away on September 27, 2014. He was born in Cincinnati on November 16, 1931 to Elmer J. and Ruth (Siehl) Brown. In 1968 he married Carol Kotzbauer in Cincinnati. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; loving daughter Karen (Steve) Hauser; and devoted grandchildren, Nicholas and Lauren Hauser. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother in law, Marie Kotzbauer. Mr. Brown served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He served as a trumpet player in the Special Forces Band. The band toured Europe performing at USO shows and as the band for entertainers. He studied trumpet at CCM at UC. Mr. Brown was a professional musician, and he taught privately as well at Buddy Rogers, Mehas Music, Roger Bacon, Colerain High School, and Wyoming High School. Celebration of Richard’s life will be Saturday October 4, 2014 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Chester officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
