NELSON, Richard A.

Richard A. Nelson, 80, of Fairfield Twp, OH, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025. He was born in Plymouth, MI, on October 29, 1944, to Richard R. and Helen (Tew) Nelson. On October 12, 1968, Richard married Sandra (Barnes) in Grandville, MI. Together they raised two daughters. A devout Lutheran, Richard was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra, daughter Julie (Sylvester) Baxter, son-in-law James Doherty, and grandchildren Caitlyn Baxter, Alexander Baxter, Avlynn Doherty, and Asher Doherty. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Doherty, father Richard R. Nelson, Mother Helen Nelson, and brothers Lance Cpl. David Nelson and Douglas Nelson.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. – until time of Funeral Service (11 a.m.), Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 11981 Pippin Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Donations may be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.
