Richard Lloyd Schwettman

We announce the passing of Richard Lloyd Schwettman on Friday July 10th, 2026, at the age of 83 after battling cancer for 2 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Patrice (nee Fricker) Schwettman.

Rich was a loving and devoted father and is survived by his son - David (Kim) Schwettman, daughter - Barbara (Ken) Gibbs, grandchildren - Tegan & Ian Schwettman, Nash, Bricklin, Crosley, Opel & Delorean Gibbs, and a great grandchild - Nova Schwettman.

He is also survived by his brother Tom (Patti) Schwettman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rita (nee Burkhart) and Burton Schwettman.

Rich was a graduate of Roger Bacon High School. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Metallurgy. He worked for Xtek (Tool Steel Gear and Pinion Company) for over 42 years.
