BODNER (Gardner), Rita Marie

Passed away Easter Sunday April 8, 2012 at Tri-County Extended Care Center. Rita was born April 4, 1923 in Hamilton, OH, to Peter and Marie (Schnapp) Gardner. She attended St. Veronica Catholic School, Notre Dame High School and graduated from Hamilton Business School. Rita met her future husband, Oscar, while both were employed at the Mosler Safe Co. After raising her family, she worked for the American Greeting Card Company for over 25 years. Rita was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Fairfield's original Good Neighbor's Association.

Rita is survived by her husband of 63 years, Oscar Bodner; two sons Thomas (Maria Shroyer) Bodner of Cincinnati, OH and William (Cindy) Bodner of Hamilton and their children, Katie (Tim) Georges of Loveland, OH and Michael Bodner of Hamilton; a sister Mary Brunner of Hamilton and brother Richard (Gail) Gardner of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Buelter of Hamilton.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Rd, Fairfield, OH on Saturday, April 14, 10:30 am, with Fr. Larry Tharp as celebrant. There will be no visitation.
