Rita M. Klamo, age 85 of Fairfield passed away Wednesday December 14, 2005 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born May 1, 1920 in Hamilton, the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Dornberger) Kammer. On December 26, 1942, she married Frank Klamo at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hamilton. Rita was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield and the Director of Recovery, Inc.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Klamo; sons, Thomas (Mary) Klamo, William (Judy) Klamo, Steven (Beth) Klamo and Richard Klamo; daughters, Mary Jo Gray, Barbara (Bill) Hess, Patricia (Tony) Steininger and Christine (Paul) Boyatt; 20 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Rita was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Eugene and James Kammer.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hillandale Nursing Home and the ICU Nurses of Mercy Hospital of Fairfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday December 17, 2005 at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield with Father Norman Langenbrunner, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday (TODAY), Friday December 16 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
