BURER, Robert J
Age 98, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1917 in Fairfield, he was the son of John and Katherine Burer. On May 9, 1942 he married Saloma Luechauer in Hamilton. He began maintenance repair of school buses for the Fairfield Local School District when he was 18 years old and continued that business throughout his life, over 80 years. Fairfield City School District ranks as having one of the best vehicle maintenance records in the state of Ohio. He was a simple practical minded man who greatest joy was working. He leaves behind his two Children Tom (Carolyn) Burer and Linda (Dale) Miner both of Fairfield, three grandchildren Robert Burer, John (Aimee) Burer, and Bryan (Susan) Miner, two great grandchildren Brandon Miner and Douglas Miner, and two nieces Donna (Frank) Merrill and Cynthia (Bill Combs). He is preceded in death by his wife and a brother, George Burer. A special thanks to his exceptional care givers – Robin Orona, Sandy Ratliff, Sandy Morgan, Trudy Vaught, Sharon Smith and Mallie Hensley. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m until the time of service (12-00 noon) Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield, with Rev Dan Rollins officiating.
