Robert D. Jacobs

90, entered into eternal life on January 25, 2009. Robert is the son of Edward (deceased) and Belle (deceased) Jacobs. He is survived by his wife Marjorie (nee Williams) A. Jacobs; son, Douglas C. Jacobs; daughter-in-law, Lynn Jacobs; grandson, Kevan R. Jacobs; great granddaughter Kailey; and brother Edward Jacobs. Robert was a lifetime resident of Coshocton, Ohio, until 2003, when he and Marjorie moved to Fairfield, Ohio. Robert graduated from Coshocton High School in 1936 and Muskingum College in 1940. Robert served as a chief warrant officer in the United States Army from 1941 to 1946 and participated in the European-African-Middle Eastern theatre of operations. Robert was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Coshocton. Robert and Marjorie were married in Coshocton, Ohio on September 7, 1946. Robert was employed as an accountant and retired from Edmont-Wilson of Becton Dickinson. Robert was a devoted husband and father. Robert was a Cub Scout Master of Pack 402 (Grace United Methodist Church) and a strong advocate of the Boy Scouts. Robert enjoyed walks and rides in the country, antique collecting, and watching football and basketball. Robert will be buried in South Lawn Cemetery with a private service. Avance Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield, OH is assisting the family with final arrangements.
