Robert Mccoy

November 20, 1943 — May 11, 2010

Age 66, born in Jeffersonville, Kentucky formally of Fairfield Ohio and currently a resident of St. Cloud, Florida, died unexpectedly after a short illness at King's Daughters Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky while visiting friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Patton McCoy; his mother, Goldie White McCoy of Fairfield; one sister, Sandra (Steve) Dees of Hamilton; one brother, Ronald McCoy of Camden, Ohio; one step-son , Stephen Mathew Whyte and his family of Bradenton, Florida; three grandchildren, six nephews and nieces; and six great nephews and nieces.

Mr. McCoy served four years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He earned his B.S. and M.B.A. at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. He also earned his C.P.A. license in Florida; started and owns, with partners, Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1990. Early in his career he was employed at Proctor and Gamble and was a homebuilder, as was his father.

He was preceded in death by his father Herbert McCoy; sister in law, Deborah McCoy; nephew, Dustin Dees; and great niece, Brook Lynn McCoy.

Visitation will be 12noon until time of memorial service (1pm), Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory. In Lieu of flowers friends and family may donate to the Disabled American Veterans National (care of donor relations) 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Kentucky 41076.
