Robert P. Rainey

Age 84 of Hamilton, Went home to be with Lord on October 19, 2009. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Charles Lenore and Mary Lavern (Robbins) Rainey; 2 sisters, Margret Martin and Mildred Martin; and grandson-in-law, Eddy Saad.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Frances (Disney) Rainey; and 5 sons, Bob (Jean) of Fairfield, Bud (Debbie) of Hamilton, Kenny (Debora) of Sarasota, FL, Darrell (Lynn) of Trenton, Tom (April) of Hamilton; 11 grandchildren, Vanise Castillo-Saad, Todd Rainey, Danielle (Curt) Rhodus, Shelley (Chris) Stamp, Lara (Bob) Hart, Nic Rainey, Devin (Mark) Pennington, Kenny Lee Rainey II, Jon (DeeAnn) Rainey, Amber (John) Cecere and Thomas "T' Rainey; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ted (Marie) Rainey of Niceville, FL.

Furthermore, Bob leaves behind many loving family members and friends who will all miss him.

Mr. Rainey was a decorated WWII Veteran serving forever faithful in the United States Marine Corps. He also enjoyed bowling, spending time with his family and sitting in his chair watching his programs. Bob was retired from General Motors after 38 years as an inspector. He was a member of the VFW Post #1069; American Legion Post #138; Monkeys Mutual Aid Society; Eagles #407; and the Kentucky Colonels. He also enjoyed watching the Reds, listening to Joe and Marty, and was a Kentucky basketball fan. Bob was a member of the Lindenwald Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 21 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lindenwald Baptist Church, 460 Symmes Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014.
