Robert Justin Shefcik
July 15, 1928 — February 14, 2009
Age 80 of Fairfield passed away February 14, 2009. He was born July 15, 1928 in Chicago, IL, the son of Rudolph and Magdalen (Wilmsen) Shefcik. On October 21, 1950 Robert married Elizabeth Keller. Robert was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. After 35 years of service with General Motors he retired in 1988. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Shefcik; children, Bob (Kay) Shefcik of Alsip, IL, Beth (Tom) Filipek of Fairfield Twp., OH, Barb (Ross) Bridge of Wheaton, IL and Bill (Tish) Shefcik of Madeira, OH; grandchildren, Christy, Katie, Michael, Dan, Brendan, Bobby and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Megan Filipek; brothers, Larry and Tom; and sister, Marge Steinert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2009 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 12191 Mill Rd., Cinti, OH 45240. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 18 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
