Robert Lee Tragesser

TRAGESSER Robert Lee, age 83, of Hamilton, OH died Sunday May 11, 2014 at Berkeley Retirement Community. He was born January 20, 1931 in Hamilton, OH to Henry and Frances (Wynn) Tragesser. Bob was married for 60 years to Elaine (Simms) Tragesser. He is survived by his wife Elaine; children, Don and Lori Tragesser and Teresa Patrick; grandchildren, Michael and Gabriela Tragesser, Alyxandria and Chance Patrick; great grandson Jace Nichols. He is also survived by his sister in law, Sylvia Simms of Bakersfield, CA. Bob is a 1949 graduate of Ross High School and earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati in 1960. He served two years in the United States Army Adjutant General Corps Branch from 1954-1956, stationed in Okinawa. Bob’s professional career began at Whirlpool and then he became a purchasing director for American Standard before becoming a manufacturer’s representative in 1971. He maintained a very successful sales agency until retiring in 1999. He was a longtime member of MANA. Bob loved to spend his free time traveling with his family. Bob and Elaine traveled the world including Europe, Asia, and South America. They also enjoyed spending time on their boat in Port Clinton. They were long time members of First Baptist Church of Hamilton. He was a very accomplished bowler scoring multiple perfect games of 300 and bowled 800 series. Bob was a member of the Senior Professional Bowlers’ Association. His hobbies included home restoration and outside Christmas décor for which he received an award from the city of Hamilton. Bob was a UCAT and an avid fan of UC basketball. The family would like to thank the staff of Berkeley Healthcare Wing and Vitas Hospice for their care of Bob. Visitation will be Thursday May 15, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Douglas Willey, Pastor Jeremy Spence, and Galen Hoffman officiating.
