Robert T. Whalen, Jr.

Age 80 of Fairfield; husband of Mary (nee Sampson); father of Bradley (Linda) Whalen, Jeffrey (Nancy) Whalen, Lisa (Robert) Gear, Holly (Robert) Miller, and Laura (Terry) Elmlinger; grandfather of Jeremy, Taylor, Ryan, Sean, Jake, Ben, Lacy, Stacy and Robert; great-grandfather of Jude and Julia; brother of David Whalen and Rosemary Richmond; passed away July 2. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ronald Whalen, Jeanne Thomas, Dorothy Garrett; and great-grandson, Sullivan.
Robert was born November 28, 1925, the son of Robert and Hilda (Faris) Whalen, Sr. On June 18, 1949 he married Mary in Cincinnati. He served his country during WWII in the US Navy. Robert worked at a Salesman for the Pease Company and was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church; the Lyons Club; and the Chamber of Commerce.
