WIRTZ

Robert J., age 93, of Fairfield, formerly of Toledo, passed away March 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born September 13, 1919 in Toledo, OH the son of Frank A. and Mary Catherine (nee Fleck) Wirtz. Robert served in the US Army during WWII. On October 22, 1945 in Clyde, OH, he married Marie Leidy who preceded him in death on June 29, 2000. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 36 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Dusseau of Fairfield and Elizabeth "Betty" Houts of Alexandria, VA; two former son in laws, Robert Dusseau and Robert Houts Jr.; eight grandchildren, Dawn (Hicham)Azennar, Robert (Nina) Houts, Christopher (Jenny) Dusseau, Jeffrey Dusseau, Leslie (Mike) Picca, Michelle (Jason) Dean, Catherine (Chad) Presley, and Julie (Todd) Frame; ten great grandchildren, Alexander, Zackery, and Caitlyn Presley; Alexis and Madison Dean; Katherine, Sarah, and Megan Picca, Rebekah Houts, and Adam Azennar. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Florence Miller and Ruth Wolfgang; and his brother, Raymond Wirtz.

Visitation will be Sunday March 10th from 2-4 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory. 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Monday, March 11th at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014, Rev. Larry Tharp officiating.
