Robert "Bob" Allan Paul

Robert “Bob” Allan Paul died unexpectedly on January 20, 2024 in Fairfield, Ohio at the age of 76.

Bob is survived by His Wife, Janie (Budz) Paul; his children, Kimberly (Jeff) Brown and Cindy (David) Holt; Grandchildren, Mikayla (Tanner) Van De Veer, Megan Hounchell and Ellie Hounchell; siblings, Patricia Paul, Barbara (Greg) McDonald, William Paul as well as family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mom and dad, Roy and Edna (Mink) Paul.

Bob was born on February 18, 1947 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State in 1967 with a degree in Engineering. He married Janie, his high school sweetheart on September 23, 1967 and he was a steadfast husband to her for 56 years of marriage. After moving to Cincinnati, Bob began working for Procter & Gamble as a Design Engineer where he had a very successful career. They welcomed two children into their home.

His children remember him as a supportive father always providing unwavering love and comic relief. He was an advocate for higher education and continued learning, always pushing for a better future.

Bob was affectionately known by his grandchildren as “Beam(ba)”. He was an incredibly kind, generous and intelligent individual and was always quick with a joke. He was an active and devout member of the Catholic Church. He loved playing racquetball at the local YMCA, camping trips with Janie and the dogs in their RV and was known to be able to fix anything that needed attention.

The Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 5-7pm at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, Ohio 45014. The Funeral Mass will be held on January 25, 2024 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd. Fairfield, Ohio 45014.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society in Bob’s honor. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield for their excellent care and kindness.
